Paul F. Long

Dr. Paul F. Long is Senior Lecturer in the Pharmaceutical Science Institute at King's College London, U.K. His research involves both experimental and bioinformatics approaches to understand natural product biosynthesis at the molecular level in Streptomyces bacteria and during marine invertebrate-microbial symbioses. Dr Long has authored or co-authored nearly 100 articles in peer review journals, conference proceedings, books and other scientific publications. He is a Visiting Scientist at the Australian Institute of Marine Science, he is also a guest Lecturer in Bioinformatics at the University of Zagreb, Croatia and in Genetics at the University of Kaiserslautern, Germany. Dr Long is an External Member of the Graduate Faculty at the University of Maine, USA and is a member of the Society for General Microbiology, the American Society of Pharmacognosy and the International Symbiosis Society.
